|Kimberly Russo Memorial Scholarship Fund||
Undergraduate students enrolled in the College of Education. Applicant must participate in the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Light the Night Walk in Boca Raton each year applicant receives award. The scholarship award shall be in the amount of up to $500 per semester and is to be used for tuition and fees only. Scholarship applicants must submit a one-page essay along with their application describing what receiving this scholarship would mean to them and how cancer has impacted their life. Applicant must be affected by cancer either individually, or by their spouse or parent.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at the Sunset Cove Amphitheater in Boca Raton. Further information on the event is available at http://www.lightthenight.org/pb/.
|Lenny & Judy Pippin Alumni Endowed Scholarship||Established by alumnus Lenny Pippin ’70 and his wife, Judy Pippin, the scholarship is awarded to students who are seeking a degree in education who demonstrate good academic standing and financial need.|
|Shamrock Society Endowed Teacher Scholarship||Scholarship for undergraduate students enrolled full-time at Florida Atlantic University College of Education. Students must demonstrate financial need and must be planning to become teachers.|
|Henry and Albertha McKoy Endowed Scholarship||Undergraduate and graduate teacher education students. Preference will be given to Jamaican or other West Indian immigrant students or children of Jamaican or other West Indian parents. Scholarship awards will be made on the basis of academic performance and demonstrated financial need*.|
|Dr. Dorothy S. Laird & E.G. Carel Endowed Scholarship Fund||Students programmed in Elementary, Exceptional Student, and Secondary education, programs. Undergraduate students must have a 2.8 GPA and Graduate students must have a 3.0 GPA. Three letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the head of a recognized Catholic, Protestant or Jewish organization.|
|Richard & Shirley Pendell Presbyterian Scholarship||
Undergraduate and Graduate students from Martin, St. Lucie, and Palm Beach counties who wish to pursue a teaching degree. Submit proof of residency in Martin, St. Lucie or Palm Beach county. Preference is given, but is not limited to Presbyterian students.
|Toppel Family Foundation Endowed Scholars||The Toppel Family generously donated funds to support the Genesis Project. When the Genesis Project ended, funds were redirected to support Undergraduate students in the College of Education. *Based on financial need.|
|W. Dorne & J. Latham Kiwanis Education Scholarship||Undergraduate students who are Boca Raton residents, graduated from a Boca area high school and has been programmed into a teacher training program. Students must agree to maintain a full-time or approved academic schedule. Must submit proof of Boca Raton residency and graduation from a Boca area high school.|
|Mildred Kytlica Scholarship Fund||Provides financial support to individuals who are pursuing a degree in the College of Education with preference to female education majors. Recipients must be admitted and matriculated to the College of Education in good standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0.|
|Mary R. Leiper Scholarship Fund||Undergraduate and Graduate students a pursuing degree from the College of Education with a preference to African American students.|
|The Nora Elizabeth Temple Family Scholarship Endowment||Undergraduate and Graduate students programmed in the College of Education.|
|Rolling Green Elementary School Scholarship||Deserving staff, faculty or former students of Rolling Green Elementary School or faculty and staff of Crosspointe Elementary School to help the individual earn any of the following at FAU: a college degree, an advanced or graduate degree, or teacher certification.|
|James Woodruff Jr. Scholarship||Undergraduate and Graduate students programmed in the College of Education. *Based on financial need.|
|College of Education Advisory Board Scholarship Fund||The College of Education Advisory Board Scholarship will be awarded annually to a student in the College of Education. The recipient must be degree seeking in the College of Education, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 or higher. Applicants must submit a one page letter on why this scholarship is important to them and what they would like to accomplish with the degree they are seeking.|
* A current FAFSA must be on file with the Financial Aid office and must show unmet need for the academic year for scholarships requiring financial need. Please DO NOT submit financial documentation with your College of Education scholarship packet.
