We are presented with a very fortunate ‘problem’ here in the FAU CARD region. We now have such a wide array of services and providers that listing them all is a major challenge. And to think that only a few years ago very few services could be identified.

Here you will find many providers of services that can help families of children and youth with autism. We developed our entries from the recommendations of parents. We have sought to be as inclusive as possible, yet we know we will never include all who wish to be included.

It is important to note that this directory is just that, a directory. It is not a recommendation or endorsement of any provider or agency. If you encounter a problem with any listed provider, please work to address the problem with them. If the issue is not resolved you can notify us. In the event we receive multiple independent complaints we will carefully consider the issue. We will notify the provider about the pattern of complaints in hopes of resolving the matter. In the event that we cannot reach a satisfactory resolution, we reserve the right to delete the provider from our on-line directory and future editions of our printed version. We do not expect that this will ever be necessary.

We would like to thank the many parents who provided us with recommendation for this directory. Also thanks go to CARD volunteers Marilyn Seigle and Bryan Ougleschu. Many CARD staff worked hard on this, but I know that Bairbre Flood, Sarah Buckley, Marisa Anorga, and Debbie Leach in Boca and Jennifer Agannis, Vanessa Petrillo, and Brigitte Duff at Port St. Lucie all did a great deal to make this happen.

While we are making an initial run of print copies, our plan is to rely on the on-line version. Providers, please send us updates as needed. Parents, teachers, and agencies, please send us your feedback so we can continue to refine this directory so that it may serve as a useful resource in your quest for quality services for your son or daughter.
